Cost Estimate Engineer

COSTING ESTIMATE ENGINEER 

Mission:

The Costing Engineer is responsible for developing and coordinating accurate product cost estimates. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or physical demands required.

Functions / Tasks:

• Primary responsibilities are, but not limited to, the program team, to assure total support and management of the program within the Costing functional area.
• Secondary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the Costing Department, to observe all policies and procedures for that functional area to participate in the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Works with Costing Manager and Key Account Manager in support of generating Cost Estimates in response to GANA Commercial “Request for Technical and Economic Studies”.
• Works with Advance Program Engineers in creating process-robust, cost-effective products that maximize the presentation of Grupo Antolin’s product portfolio for the North American OEM marketplace.
• Works with multi-functional team, including Purchasing, Advance Engineering, Commercial, Industrial Engineering and Program Managers to provide accurate, timely and through development of Cost Estimates.
• Works with Program Managers to provide costs for engineering changes control process, or cost studies for projects in development. 
• Works with multiple facility Technical Directors and Engineering Managers to interpret/maintain plant production and labor capacities in order to get accurate information for new plant businesses cost estimates.
• Maintain knowledge of current Grupo Antolin technology portfolio within industry marketplace to provide accurate cost estimated for technology-in development.
• Assure defense of Grupo Antolin industrial/economic property generated during New Business development, as well as new technology.
• To capitalize on the knowledge learned during performance of all duties, and apply “lessons-learned” to future projects.

ACADEMIC EDUCATION
(minimun / desirable)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Accounting
PROFFESIONAL EXPERIENCE
(minimun / desirable)
Work experience in cost estimating plus 2 years' work experience in commercial/industrial/process engineering within automotive industry

Technical Knowledge:

Demonstrate a solid grasp of business concepts, realistic judgment, and quantitative and critical thinking skills.
Must possess working knowledge of the following commodities or engineering background in: Interior trim, Instrument panels, Overhead systems, JIT assemblies, Door modules, Package Tray, Trunk Trim, Pillars and other Interior Trim
Maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems.
Must possess excellent PC skills

Language: Spanish-Native / English-Conversational
