Senior Process Engineer

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER.

Functions / Tasks – Specific: 

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience with secondary assembly  

·        In depth knowledge of following process: 

o   Robotic / Automated assembly 

o   Manual assembly 

o   Experience with welding 

§  Ultrasonic welding 

§  Infrared welding 

§  Vibration welding 

§  Hot plate welding 

o   Punching / Trimming 

o   Laser scoring 

·        General knowledge of automotive industry requirements: 

o   Project management skills 

o   Program launch experience 

o   Work in a team environment 

o   Quoting of capital and tooling investments 

o   Ability to write specifications for capital and tooling investments 

o   Ability to interact with other departments involved in program 

o   Knowledge of industrialization documents / software 

§  Process flows 

§  Value Steam Mapping 

§  Product Life Management (PLM) 

§  Internal purchasing system for investments 

§  Internal process documentation for a successful launch 

§  Microsoft Office 

o   AutoCAD Experience 

o   Ability to establish program timing for capital and tooling investments 

o   Ability to meet program deadlines 

o   Ability to travel domestic and internationally 

§  May be up to 2-3 weeks
