JIT Manager - Sanand

Roles and responsibilities:

To oversee and implement Just-In-Time inventory and production strategies that reduce lead times, minimize inventory holding costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities: 

1. JIT Strategy Development & Implementation

• Design and execute JIT frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop schedules and inventory policies to meet production needs with minimal stock.

2. Inventory Optimization

• Maintain inventory levels to ensure parts/materials are available just when needed—not before.
• Reduce excess stock, obsolete items, and associated holding costs.

3. Supplier Coordination

• Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.
• Set up vendor-managed inventory (VMI) or JIT delivery agreements.

4. Production Planning & Scheduling

• Work with production teams to align manufacturing schedules with JIT inventory flows.
• Use demand forecasting tools to support accurate production plans.

5. Process Improvement

• Continuously analyze processes and identify areas for lean improvements.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles like Kaizen, 5S, and Kanban.

6. Reduced Lead Times:

Delivering components just-in-time reduces lead times, enabling faster production and delivery of finished vehicles. 

Qualifications / Skills: 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 

• 10+ years of experience in a similar role in an industrial setting.
