Responsibilities:

To oversee all quality-related activities within a manufacturing plant to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements, while also driving continuous improvement efforts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS) like ISO 9001, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations. 

Lead and motivate a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support. 

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce defects. 

Develop and implement quality control plans, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards throughout the manufacturing process. 

Conduct internal and external audits, manage non-conformance reports, and implement corrective actions. 

Analyze quality data, identify trends, and develop solutions to address issues. 

Utilize problem-solving methodologies like 8D to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. 

Serve as a point of contact for customer quality issues, collaborating with internal teams to resolve them. 

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. 

Work with other departments to reduce error costs and improve overall quality. 

Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to ensure quality throughout the value chain. 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience:

Extensive experience of 15 years in manufacturing quality management within the automotive industry or a similar sector.
