Mission:  

                                         
To maintain and sustain production lines, warehouse, shipping and receiving areas. Reporting and providing information to the Warehouse Manager.                                            
                                           

Functions / Tasks:

• Feed Production Line. This is the number one responsibility of the Material Handlers. Insure that the Manufacturing Department is kept supplied with the necessary materials needed for production and to insure all material taken to the lines are done on a First In – First Out (FIFO) method.
• They will provide assistance to the Forklift Operator and Logistic Supervisor when requested.
• The Material Handler will be responsible for maintaining FIFO in the warehouse.  Insure that all raw material is placed in the proper location.
• Deliver parts and sustain the production racks
• Will place all Finished Goods in the proper location.  Again, this will be done using FIFO.
• Make sure all skids are stacked and placed in proper location.
• KEEP PACKING SUPPLIED AT ALL TIMES WITH MATERIAL
• KEEP WAREHOUSE CLEAN
• Will keep the compactor/dumpster area clean of any loose trash.

Additional Responsibilities 
• Participate in monthly and quarterly physical inventory.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform job in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Working knowledge on dock activities, shipping, receiving, window times
• Working knowledge of fork trucks and operations/maintenance management

Experience / Skills 

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills is required.
• Effective interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and management.

Health, Safety, & Physical Demands

• Safety glasses are required to be worn at all times when on the plant floor.
• Physical demands require standing, working in a manufacturing plan environment, walking manufacturing plant floor multiple times daily, bending, reaching, stooping, wearing required PPE, talking, working long hours and overtime including weekends and holidays as required.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.          
  Automotive plant experience preferred but not required
  Warehousing processes including inventory, FIFO and visual aids.
