Job Duties:
FEED PRODUCTION LINES
Insure that the Manufacturing Department is kept supplied with the necessary materials needed for production and to insure all material taken to the lines are done on a First In – First Out (FIFO) method.
EMPTY ALL TRASH
The Material Handlers will empty all trash dumpsters/containers, along with the trimmings, that is produced during production.
SHIPPING AND RECEIVING
The Material Handlers are responsible for loading & unloading of all trucks. They will provide assistance to the Material Handler Leader when requested.
WAREHOUSE INVENTORY
The Material Handler will be responsible for maintaining FIFO in the warehouse. Insure that all raw material is placed in the proper location.
RECEIVING OF RAW MATERIAL
When receiving raw material, the Material Handler will verify that the packing slip and quantity received match. If so, then they will sign the packing slip and/or carrier delivery receipt and then place material in the proper location.
PLACE FINISH GOODS IN WAREHOUSE
The material Handler will place all Finished Goods in the proper location. Again, this will be done using FIFO.
SKIDS
Make sure all skids are stacked and placed in proper location.
KEEP PACKING SUPPLIED AT ALL TIMES WITH MATERIAL
KEEP WAREHOUSE CLEAN
COMPACTOR/DUMPSTERS
The Material Handlers will keep the compactor/dumpster area clean of any loose trash.
FORKLIFTS
The Material Handlers are responsible for maintaining their forklift, to do the daily checklist before the start of the shift, along with cleaning the lift
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Demonstrated exceptional people management skills
- At least 1 year of previous material handling experience
- Automotive plant experience desired, but not required
- SAP experience desired
- Physical demands require standing, working in manufacturing plant environment, walking manufacturing plant floor multiple times daily, bending, reaching, stooping, wearing safety glasses and other required personal protection equipment, talking, working long hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays as required.
