Mission:

 

The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports efficient and safe manufacturing operations by participating in the maintenance, construction, modification, and design of equipment and machinery. This role helps achieve throughput, inventory, and operating expense objectives by performing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs based on operating parameters, engineering principles, and applicable safety regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the smooth and reliable operation of machinery and equipment through both routine and emergency maintenance.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational equipment problems and take corrective action to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including scheduled inspections, adjustments, and part replacements to keep equipment running efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Modify programs and maintain high‑pressure system components as needed.
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments to ensure consistent information flow.
  • Notify management of recurring equipment issues, corrective actions taken, and quality or supply concerns.
  • Follow all plant safety requirements, company safety policies, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Work closely with production teams and other maintenance staff to support continuous operations.
  • Suggest improvements to maintenance procedures and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Read and comprehend work instructions, operating manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Accept additional assignments as required to support team and plant objectives.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform other physical tasks related to maintenance duties.
  • Work necessary overtime based on production and maintenance needs.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably within the automotive interior trim and systems industry.
  • Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Candidates must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds routinely, with heavier lifting performed with assistance. The position requires the ability to bend, twist, reach, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed. The work environment may involve exposure to heat, cold, noise, and industrial equipment, so comfort working under these conditions is necessary. The employee must safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, and must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and steel‑toed shoes.

    • PLC troubleshooting skills a plus (Allen‑Bradley / Siemens)
    • Robotics experience a plus (preferably Fanuc)
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
