 Mission:

The aim of this position is to provide technical support to all the production lines relating to the function and optimal operation of all the Glue Systems.

 

 

Essential Functions of Role:

  • Supervisory Capacity:      No Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Technical support to all the production lines relating to the function and optimal operation of all the Glue Systems (excluding any Hot Melt Glue Systems) as well as water applications.
  • Assist Line Leader with Roll Coater calibration if needed
  • At the beginning of each shift, check equipment for proper operation of Glue application on each line. (Roll Coaters and Spray Booths)
  • At the beginning of each shift, check equipment for proper operation of Water application on each line.      
  • Check all Roll Coaters for any Glue leaks. For any leaks found, identify the cause and notify the Line Leader of the corresponding line. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX BY STICKING ANYTHING (BARS, RODS, ETC…) INTO THE ROLL COATER WHILE IT IS IN WORKING MODE AND IN OPERATION. Roll coater MUST BE in CLEAN MODE or rollers STOPPED before cleaning on the canals and ends of the rollers. Proper tools must be used while cleaning (e.g. No air hammers are to be used while cleaning the canals).
  • Responsible for rebuilding Transfer Pumps, Glue Spray Guns, Water Spray Guns, and manifolds. Glue Technicians are to ensure that these are rebuilt and on hand for quick changing of failed equipment. When failed equipment is replaced, it must be rebuilt and placed back into inventory promptly after it is removed from production.
  • Responsible for emptying all water trays under water sprayers before they are full and spilling into the floor. Clean any water in the floor under water trolley.
  • Responsible for checking each roll coat each shift to ensure proper functioning of glue flow from the tote to the roller (zero blockages in pipes).
  • Responsible for mixing of adhesive and maintaining proper traceability of glue mixing activity by properly labelling the tote and documenting viscosity readings in book.
  • Responsible for stocking the lines with mixed adhesive for the Roll Coaters. When empty glue totes are removed from the Production Line, the tote is to be completely empty. The empty tote is to be taken outside to the holding area by the HAZMAT building to be pick up by outsourced company.
  • Shift turnover with incoming shift is Mandatory. You are not to leave the incoming shift with empty containers of glue on the Production Lines and in the Glue Mixing area, and Water trays are to be empty.
  • Responsible for housekeeping on and around the glue stands on each line.
  • Responsible for housekeeping on and around the glue barrels on each line.
  • Glue Technician is not to leave any spare parts/components/rags/etc.… on the line when repairs are completed.    
  • Responsible for completing and turning in Daily Check Sheet to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Glue Technician is to perform all job duties in a safe manor following all company policies and procedures. This includes all safety procedures for cleaning roll coaters. The Glue Technician is to NOT perform any maintenance nor clean on a roll coater unless the machine is in CLEAN MODE.
  • Glue Technicians are required to provide their own tools. Specialty tools that are owned/provided by Antolin are to be returned to their proper location when finished using. Glue Technician is responsible for 5S in the mixing area and rebuild area(s).

Educational Requirement:    High School Graduate or Equivalent

Area of Study:     Basic Studies

(Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.)

 

Years of Experience Required:

  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Maintenance.
  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Language Required:  English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)

 

Travel Required:    5-25%
