Optical Engineer

Position：Optical Engineer

Job Functions:
1. designing various types of lens optics for lighting and ambient lighting;
2. communicating with mechanical and electronic teams to determine product performance, specifications and costs;
3. collaborate with electronics engineers to analyze and select LEDs;
4. collaborate with manufacturing, program management, and quality management teams on product development;
5. setting up experiments and performing tests to verify optical performance of components and fixtures;
6. providing technical presentations and support for new RFQ quotes;
7. guiding lab engineers in photometric measurements during the design phase of new projects;

Requirements:
1.Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering preferred;
2.2 years or more experience in LED lighting optical design. Automotive industry background is preferred;
3.2 years or more optical software experience (SPEOS, light tools, Trace Pro), SPEOS background is preferred;
4.2 years experience in 3D CAD software (CATIA, PROE, UG);
5. Understanding of LED principles and performance;
6. knowledge of mechanical and optical parts manufacturing;
7. Knowledge of CIE 1931 colorimetric theory and applications;
8. Knowledge of optical measuring equipment (colorimeter/spectrometer).
