Mission
Manage the sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodity categories, ensuring the best total cost of ownership while meeting quality, delivery, service, and sustainability objectives. Develop strong supplier partnerships and contribute to the company's purchasing strategy and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodity categories.
- Manage supplier relationships, including supplier selection, qualification, development, performance, and risk management.
- Lead or support end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and implementation.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and secure long-term value.
- Analyze supplier markets, pricing trends, and industry developments to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Projects) on demand planning, specification management, and Make-or-Buy decisions.
- Maintain purchasing data, supplier records, contracts, and procurement documentation in SAP and other purchasing tools (e.g., BUYONE), ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal procedures and QHSE standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective communication and successful project execution.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Senior Buyer: 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management, preferably in the automotive industry, with proven experience in purchasing plastic components and a strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, supplier markets, and cost drivers.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel. Experience using procurement platforms is an advantage; for internal candidates, familiarity with the BUYONE platform is preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
