DUTIES: Grupo Antolin North America, Inc. seeks a Process Engineer based out of our office at 1700 Atlantic Blvd. Auburn Hills MI 48326. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 20%. Participate in APQP Team as Process Engineering representative. Determine best method to salvage non-conforming material. Review process for material savings, scrap reduction, material-handling reduction, and operator efficiency improvements, making recommendations, and implementing upon approval. Develop new production methods using engineering fundamentals. Develop and implement new production equipment to improve quality of product, improve efficiency and reduce scrap. Develop plant layout to improve process flow and minimize material handling. Formulate, update, and enter Bill of Materials software system. Conduct capacity studies. Develop Internal Quotations for new products as needed. Receive, catalog, and store production parts and quotes engineering drawings. Customer supplied labels used for samples, or non-production run products are to be stored in the Engineering Department. Will review quarterly records for expiration of retention and review with Manufacturing Engineering Manager before disposal. Complete other job-related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering field and four (4) years of experience as a Process Engineer, Design Engineer, or related industrial engineering role. Experience must include: 2 years of experience with secondary assembly; 2 years of experience with robotic / automated assembly and manual assembly; 2 years of experience with plastic welding, including ultrasonic welding, vibration welding; Experience with punching, trimming, and laser scoring; Experience with AutoCAD; Experience with working with original equipment manufacturers; and Experience with Value Steam Mapping and Product Life Management. Domestic and international travel required, as needed, up to 20% of the time.
